Ready to dive into machine sewing, but not sure where to start? Join us for a hands-on, true beginner-friendly class to learn the fundamentals of machine sewing while making your very own custom apron!
In this class, you’ll learn the essentials of sewing with a machine:
- Navigating PDF Patterns: Demystify how to properly print, assemble, and size a digitally downloaded pattern.
- Precision Cutting: Learn fabric layout basics and best practices for cutting out pattern pieces so you can confidently cut into your fabric!
- Machine Basics: Get comfortable setting up and operating a sewing machine, sewing straight seams, and finishing edges cleanly.
By the end of class, you’ll walk away with a stylish, functional apron made with your own hands—plus the foundational skills to take on your next sewing project!

- Prerequisite(s): None! This is a Level 1, True Beginner class. Zero experience required! If you’ve never touched a machine or don't know a bobbin from a presser foot, this is your starting point. We’ll cover all the basics from scratch in a no-judgment zone.
