FAQs
General
Is Club Toucan for kids or adults?
Club Toucan is for people of every age. Our spaces can be used to create, play, shop, and work. We have a variety of projects that are suitable for all different skill levels, and staff on hand to help.
Can I drop in or do I need to sign up in advance?
You can purchase a day pass online in advance or upon arrival - no need to sign up in advance to enter Club Toucan. Members can visit whenever they’d like. Classes require signup at least 24 hours in advance so that we can be prepared for every learner in the class.
Do I need a membership to take a class or use the community spaces?
You do not need a membership to take a class or access Club Toucan! You can pay for any classes you wish to take. To access Club Toucan without a membership, simply purchase a day pass. Your first visit is free!
Are there any restrictions in the play area, outdoors, or classroom spaces?
Some spaces are designated for adults due to tools and equipment that may be dangerous for our younger friends. Our indoor play houses are most suitable for children whose height is less than 60”. Outdoor areas are open to all, and both children and adults can use most of our classroom spaces.

Classes & Parties
What ages do you offer classes and parties for?
Do I need prior experience to participate in classes?
No! Club Toucan welcomes people of all skill levels. Class details indicate the skill level it’s most appropriate for.
Are materials included in the classes?
Depending on the class, we will include materials. In some cases, materials will be available for purchase in the retail store at Club Toucan, or participants may bring their own. If any materials are not included, this will be detailed in the class description.
Can kids attend classes on their own?
Yes! There are age requirements for certain classes based on the level of fine motor skills children may need to have in order to be successful. Ages will be indicated in the class description. If children are enrolled in a designated class, they may be dropped off at Club Toucan to participate with a 10-minute grace period prior to and after class for pick-up.
What’s your cancellation policy for class attendance?
If you need to cancel your participation in full, notify us 48 hours in advance and we will refund 50% of the class fee. We do not offer refunds past this 48-hour notice. Depending on the class being offered, if you are unable to attend all sessions, we may offer one make-up session option so learners can stay on track and complete their project.
Childcare
How does childcare work?
If a parent or caregiver would like to participate in a making session, class on their own, or co-working time, they may do so by opting into our on-site childcare services. Childcare is limited to 2 hours per day at a rate of $20 per hour per child. Family Members receive a 50% discount, which is automatically applied in cart with an active membership.
Infants and toddlers (up to age 4) must have a parent or caregiver on the premises at all times while the child is in childcare (no drop-offs). Parents and caregivers are responsible for the diapering needs of their children.
Children ages 4-14 may be dropped off for classes and workshops only. Otherwise, they must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver, or the caregiver can opt into on-site childcare services. Children must have a parent or caregiver on the premises at all times while the child is in childcare (no drop-offs).
We’re happy to welcome independent visits for teens ages 15 and older who consistently show respectful, responsible behavior. Teens ages 15 and older who visit independently will need to provide the name and contact details of a caregiver. If any behavioral concerns arise, we may ask that a caregiver remain on site for future visits.
