Craft Club: Jar to Vase Upcycling!
Details
Join us for a fun, hands-on crafting session where we will transform ordinary glass jars into stunning, customized flower vases. Whether your personal aesthetic is rustic farmhouse, sleek modern, or colorful and whimsical, you will discover how easy and rewarding it is to give repurposed materials a beautiful new life.
In this class, you’ll learn:
- Proper Surface Preparation: How to thoroughly clean, strip stubborn labels, and prep glass surfaces so that paint and adhesives stick perfectly.
- Creative Application Techniques: The fundamental methods for glass painting, decoupage, and wrapping with textured materials like twine, yarn, or lace.
-
Design and Texture Layering: How to mix colors and layer different craft mediums to create a visually appealing, dimensional design.
By the end of class, you’ll walk away with… A beautifully decorated, completely one-of-a-kind upcycled glass vase! Your finished masterpiece will be ready to display your favorite fresh blooms, serve as a stylish tabletop centerpiece, or be given as a thoughtful, handmade gift. Plus, you will leave with the creative confidence and skills to continue upcycling other glass containers at home!
We will have jars, but you're welcome to bring your own.
