Flying Owl Paper Art
Details
Step into a magical nighttime forest and imagine what it might look like from the ground up! Kids will explore the concept of worm’s-eye-view perspective as they create a layered paper collage filled with fantastic plants, patterns, and shapes. At the center of the scene, they’ll build a flying owl with movable wings, combining art with a simple paper mechanism. Each child can make the forest their own by inventing unique plants, textures, and decorative details.
Instructor: Natalia Handoga is a professional illustrator and graphic designer who creates posters and illustrations for movies, theater, and music. In her workshops, she goes “beyond the brush,” introducing kids to techniques such as metal embossing, quilling, printmaking, and paper construction. She often uses everyday materials like pasta, seeds, buttons, corks, and foil to show children creative possibilities in ordinary things. They don’t just draw - they also cut, tear, crumple, twist, scratch, print, build, and experiment.
