Quilling Paper Doll Workshop

We’ll explore the unique style of Frida Kahlo, her love of flowers, and the way she used clothing as a form of artistic expression. Inspired by her iconic image, kids will create a paper doll with movable parts and discover the colorful technique of paper quilling, rolling and shaping narrow strips of paper into flowers and decorative details.

Instructor: Natalia Handoga is a professional illustrator and graphic designer who creates posters and illustrations for movies, theater, and music. In her workshops, she goes “beyond the brush,” introducing kids to techniques such as metal embossing, quilling, printmaking, and paper construction. She often uses everyday materials like pasta, seeds, buttons, corks, and foil to show children creative possibilities in ordinary things. They don’t just draw - they also cut, tear, crumple, twist, scratch, print, build, and experiment.
